Amazing Sounds: the alternative music e-magazine - A well balanced blend of the hardcopy and internet magazines, Amazing Sounds contains the latest information in alternative genres of music, including electronic, New Age and World music. The site also posts reviews of cds by alternative artists, interviews, and links to other music related sites.

Electronic Musicological Review - Supported by the University of Paraná Arts department, some articles on this site are only available in Portuguese. The articles are highly informative however, as they concern a multitude of topics.

Ethnomusicology Online - Supported by Wesleyan University, University of California Los Angeles, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and the University of Bologna. This site provides reviews of cds, software, and books as well as articles from the music world. A noteworthy part of this site is the Cambodian Performing Arts page, covering the return of the performing arts to Cambodia after the genocide against the arts in the 1970's.

Journal of Seventeenth-Century Music - Published by the Society for Seventeenth-Century Music, this scholarly journal publishes reviews of the latest books, scores, and media as well as contains articles concerning studies made on the musical culture of the time period.

Music & Anthropology (limited to musical anthropology in the Mediterranean) - Maintained by the University of Bologna; once translated into English, this Italian site is highly useful.
